Hey, guys!

(Blows dust off of space)

It has been MONTHS and I am so glad to be back!

There is definitely much to unpack from my experiences off of this blog but I will get to each area slowly and as guided by God.

I just wanted to touch base with you, my journey mate, before 2022 ends.

Now, I don't know where you are or what you are doing while reading this post. I do not know how 2022 has taken you.

I, however, hope that you have grown and discovered new things about yourself.

Before I step off, I have some 22 lessons (trust me, that is only a small portion of what I have seen) from my experience of this year. I hope they somehow resonate and hopefully inspire.

To all who are grieving in this period, you are doing the best you can in a season flooded with ideals of positivity and joy. I pray your heart continues to heal and I pray for you, too.

Faith

• Life gets more meaningful (not easier) when you dedicate your life to Christ. That may be evident in your lifetime, and if you cannot see it here, you will certainly see it in eternity

• When God is at the centre of everything you do and you are submitted to Him, best believe that your steps will be ordered by Him. And friend, He can be trusted

• God’s nature does not change even when circumstances and/or people do. He is still Holy, still glorious, still omnipotent, still victorious and still eternal

Friendships

• You will need to invest in your friends if you desire them to invest in you. This includes vulnerability

• Be picky with who you call a friend. Do not be in a rush to crown everyone with that term

Romantic affections

• By all means, do not rush love!

• There are so many man-made rules when it comes to love. They are tiring to abide by. What does God say?

• Sharing in the same faith does not mean that you two are truly compatible with each other

Family

• It is important to set boundaries even with family members. Be kind, be considerate, but have boundaries

• You do not choose where/when you are born. But the family you create is yours to choose. Choose well

Career

• Do not be afraid to pivot

• Your career’s trajectory has a lot to do with the small decisions you make daily, so take initiative!

Business

• Do not wait for the perfect time or idea.

• Wisely consider business partners before you yoke yourself. Business partnerships can make or break you/your entrepreneurship journey

Self

• Take time to tend to yourself. You will only interact with people to the depth in which you have encountered yourself

• Do you enjoy your own company? Why/why not? The answer may prove quite helpful in your journey of self-awareness

Finances

• Money is a very cunning god. Do not bow to it

• A little surely goes a long way if handled prudently!

Society

• Treat people with respect and kindness. Building social capital is not just for what you have to gain

• If each person decides to make a change in one particular way, society will yield to that direction. Your actions in light of where thr world is headed DO matter

Grief

• People handle grief differently and on different timelines

• Grief can get lonely, but a warm understanding circle helps, even if it doesn’t feel like it at first.
