A Glimmer of Hope

I absolutely love how God speaks to us.

He uses the Word (The Bible) and other times, dreams and visions. Sometimes He uses people (that random person you met who told you that exact thing that you needed to hear? Yeah, they were not random.) Sometimes He orchestrates events so loudly that you have to stop and realise that it could only be Him speaking! A Direct Deposit of Faith There had been something in my heart that I had been holding on to for a number of months.

As days, weeks and ultimately months went on, my heart started to sink. I sat and thought of all the people I had and still are cheering on as they achieve their goals. I remembered all the things I had to give up because God told me to.

I began to feel like a fool for waiting. My faith began to grow cold and I began to get weary. As I cheered others on, I grew more and more numb to my own reality and grew to accept things as they were. I stopped contending for the promises God has for me because in my heart I said, "What's the use?" The Lord knows us so intimately that there is a verse that says that your heart literally grows sick when you do not get the desires of your heart. (Prov 13:12)

Light Bulb! Then on one random day, God sent a certain man of God to speak a word over me that directly addressed my exact need at the time.

This man did not know me that well to know what I was going through at the time. A few hours later, I saw about 4 videos and reels on Instagram alone which addressed the desire that I was praying and waiting upon.

It hit me that God wanted me to know that He had me in mind. That He has something cooking for me and He is still preparing it.

Meanwhile, He desires that I continue to wait with the expectation of a child who trusts that her father will give her the desires of her heart in His time (Matt 7:11). Also, guys, can we just acknowledge how amazing obedience is? The people who shared the encouraging content had no idea that I would be a recipient of their timely messages but through obeying the voice of the Lord to release those messages at that exact time, they ministered to many (and I am a very thankful one of them!) If you are reading this, I would like you to know that you are in God's mind and He thinks good thoughts concerning you. You are not forgotten. If you are waiting on God, keep waiting.
