First of all and before I go too far, I love you-genuinely. Sure, I may not know who you are but I do know that you have been made in the image and likeness of God and because I love God, then I love His reflection-you.

I have a tendency of spilling advice randomly like rice off my mouth when eating. It just happens!

I also would like to share today’s advice with this girl who so desperately needed it 3 years ago

I desire to carve out some random words that are coming into my mind as I type. I want to burn it into a space that will never forget so that my children and their children would look back and read stuff that their ancestor churned out. (I hope I do not embarrass you, my loves!)

So here goes:

  1. It is always a bad idea to sleep at 5AM when you are meant to be at work at 8AM.

  2. Speaking up for yourself is the most important thing you can ever master. If this feels selfish, you may need to seek help in overcoming co-dependency and unprocessed emotional trauma.

  3. No one will ever carry your project with the same weight as you, especially in business.

  4. People are always going to let you down, the only difference is at which point they will. So please, set your total trust in God- He is the one you are most sure of in regards to His intentions for you.

  5. Do not be quick to receive gifts from people you do not know well.

  6. There is always a difference between what things seem like and what things actually are, especially if you are on the outside looking in.

  7. Please do not take advice on matters from people who have not experienced those matters.

  8. Reading physical books actually does something powerful to you-it teaches you patience, intentionality and good posture!

  9. Always pay your debts at the first chance you get! Debts make you a slave to your lender.

  10. When you get your paycheck, pray before you touch it. Then give God His part, then give what belongs to others and finally pay your future-always remember to pay your future self. Then have fun with the rest!

  11. If by chance you make a dreadful mistake and you discover your error, come clean as early as you can. Lose people and opportunities if you must but release yourself from a self-inflicted prison as soon as you can.

  12. Human love is not unconditional- Christ’s love is. You become more forgiving of the frailty of human affection when you are rooted in Christ’s unfailing love.

  13. Do not listen to people more than you listen to God.

  14. Do not let your romantic interest govern your heart and mind more than God. They will become your idol and when you stop worshipping them, they will harm you. Oh, and God is a jealous God, He will tear you two apart.

  15. If stuck in a foreign town, always ask for directions inside a café or shop.

  16. Women, don’t ever leave your toiletry bag at home!

  17. Try count up to 10 (ten) before responding to an accusation or snide remark.

  18. Never let anybody stress you on your mobile device that you bought with your own money.

  19. Try as hard as you can not to ask for too many favors from people, see 12.

  20. Start moving towards where and who you want to be even if you do not have it all figured out. It always works out!

  21. If you want to know if something really is from God, look at the fruit it produces (see Galatians 5:22).

  22. God is the Word and the Word is God. He will NEVER cause you to do something that is not backed up by the Bible.

  23. Always have a shopping list when shopping!

  24. If you are not sure about a person or thing, pray before you move further.

  25. It is new thinking and not New Year’s resolutions that have maximum impact on how your year goes. Your mind does not reset just once in a year.

I hope this helps someone out there (including you, my future family. I hope you read this while sipping cocoa with me at the front-porch because I love hot cocoa and I also love company. And someone tell the cat to stop pooping at the furnace.)
